What will I need?
In order to replace or fit a toilet seat all you’ll need is a screwdriver. Most new toilet seats will come with the tools required to fit a toilet seat and all the fittings necessary.
Step by step instructions
First check the new seat and that all required fixings are present.
Remove old toilet – fixings vary!
Lift off the seat and associated seals.
Clean the area.
Check instructions for new seat.
Install seal kit and select correct holes for bolts to be located (depending on toilet pan)
Try seat in position.
Once you’re happy, tighten seat with wing nuts, turning clockwise.
